Route information

This fantastic 10k canal side challenge will take you through the series of locks between Stourbridge and Brierley Hill. Starting at The Bonded Warehouse, Stourbridge, head along the canal front and into Buckpool Nature reserve, for that added uniqueness. This race will finish on the Waterfront at Merry Hill where a warm welcome awaits you.
From Amblecote, the route follows the Stourbridge Town Arm. At Ashwood Park Primary School, runners will turn onto Stourbridge Canal, continuing into Hawbush and passing The Wordsley School. After the School, the route turns into Buckpool Nature Reserve and loops round onto the Stourbridge Extension Canal, before coming back to meet the Town Canal.
The 4-mile mark sees the route cross Moor Street and pass Waterside Business Park and into Brierley Hill, bringing participants towards the final destination of Merry Hill.

Registration, Start & Finish Area
The registration point and start area are located at The Bonded Warehouse, DY8 4LU. There is NO parking at the start venue. There are parking areas around Stourbridge, but these are time limited.
The finish area is at The Waterfront, Brierley Hill, DY5 1XD. We suggest parking here will is FREE and we will provide transport for you to the start area, inclusive of your race fee.
Parking
Please park at the Waterfront [DY5 1XA] (Finish area) and the organiser will arrange transport to the start, leaving Circa 08:30.
We advise NOT parking on the Brierly Hill Hop House car park or the very front of the Waterfront (next to the canal)
Coach
There will be a free coach available for runners to use. The coach will leave from the finish area and take runners to the start line.
By Train
Stourbridge Town train station is a short 13 minute walk from the Race HQ at The Bonded Warehouse. Please check National Rail Services for timetable

Event day logistics

08:00 Registration opens at The Bonded Warehouse (DY8 4LU - Start Location - No PARKING here)
08:00 Coaches arrive at layby next to the event main car park (DY5 1XA) and start loading
08:30 1st coach leaves the finish area to take runners to the start
08:45 2nd Coach departs towards the Start line.
09:00 3rd coach leaves the finish line to take runners to the start
09:00 1st coach returns, loads and leaves once full.
This will cycle until all runners are picked up and transported to the start line throughout the morning.
09:30 Bag drop
09:15 Race brief starts (Also online via Youtube)
09:30 Approx; Rolling Race Starts (Dependant on number of entrants we will seed you nearer the event time)
11:30 - 12:00 Approx; Last runners starts (dependant on entrant levels)
Age Requirements
You must be 17 or older at the time of this event.
Ability Requirements
This is a challenging inclined point to point race and is NOT to be underestimated.
The route takes place predominantly on surfaced areas, however, the wooded section will be muddy, slippy, and tiresome.
The event is open to all abilities, but is challenging and a real reward for completing the event
Water Station
There will be a water station located at the halfway point.
