The 27th Chester Triathlon is an Olympic, 100K, and Short distance triathlon held in the centre of the historic City of Chester and is open to all triathletes from first timers to World Champions!
British Triathlon have awarded the 2026 Chester Triathlon as a 2027 World Standard Distance Triathlon Qualifier for the Deva Olympic distance.

Route information
The event boasts a lively city centre start on the banks of the River Dee, and route's that enjoy the picterseque views of the Cheshire & North Wales countryside, before returning for an unforgettable finish in Grosvenor Park with all the enthusiasm you could ask for from the Cestrian supporters to cheer you on.

What's included
You will be given a timing chip and strap for the event when you collect your number, it is your responsibility to ensure the strap and chip are attached to the ankle, under your wetsuit, throughout the event (this is where it's been designed to work best) and returned to us once you have crossed the finish line on event day. If you lose or fail to return the timing chip and strap to us on event day, you will incur a charged £50 to release your bike from transition.

Due to us having to open the roads in the City Centre the following Cut off times are in operation:
Lap 1 of the bike must be completed by 10:30, anyone not completing the first lap by this time will be directed into transition where they may complete the run if they wish.
Lap 2 of the run must be completed by 14:15, anyone not on their final lap by this time will be directed to the finish line.
Unfortunately these cut off times are necessary to allow the roads to re-open on time.
No refunds will be given to people who do not make the cut offs.
