About
We’re thrilled to announce that our 2026 Sportive will take place on the beautiful Isle of Wight — a brand-new adventure for us at European Cycle Events. Normally, our rides are based in and around Surrey, but this year we’re pushing the boat out and taking things seaside!
The route will start and finish in Freshwater, following a clockwise circuit of the island with a slight adjustment to avoid the £1 Cowes chain ferry — an unpredictable crossing that could disrupt the flow of the event.
Riders will take on a 122 km course with 2,109 m of elevation, showcasing the Isle of Wight’s stunning coastal views, rolling countryside, and picturesque villages — a truly fitting setting for cyclists.
