Route information
12K:
The main event is 12K (approx. 7.5 miles) of hills, valleys, sand dunes and even a river crossing to get your feet wet before you cross the finish line! Much of the course is ran on the private Merthyr Mawr Estate so you should not attempt to run the route outside of the event, for the sake of privacy and the protection of wildlife. Please stick to the marked route during the event.

40K:
Introduced for the first time in 2025 and the ultimate test of endurance, the 40K (approx 25 miles) is a stunning long-distance race that takes in all that the original 12K Rabbit Run has to offer, as well as a tour of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, promising dramatic landscapes, rolling countryside, plunging cliffs, secluded coves and breathtaking views. Whilst signage will direct participants in key locations, there will be an element of self-navigation. Those taking part should take steps to ensure they are familiar with the route, for which a GPX digital download will be available.
