Join us for the Basildon Half Marathon and Juniors on Sunday 13th September 2026
Taking place on Sunday 13th September, this exciting event welcomes runners of all ages and abilities. Whether you're chasing a new PB or completing your first ever half marathon, everyone is invited to be part of this fun, supportive race day.
Starting and finishing at Basildon Sporting Village, the route heads out onto closed roads through the town, making it both a rewarding challenge and a great day out. With a Junior Race included, it’s a family-friendly event perfect for getting young runners involved too!

CUT OFF (state time & reason)
3hrs (12:00pm) due to road closure timings

There is no specific event parking on site. We recommend using parking options in the town centre and walking to Basildon Sporting Village. We recommend using parkopedia.com to find a space.
Event day logistics
09:00 am - Half Marathon start
09:45 am - Juniors start
12:00 pm - Race End
CUT-OFF
Please note there is a 3 hour cut off on this race due to road closures in place
MINIMUM AGES
Half Marathon - 17 years and above
Juniors - any age
BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
Portable toilets available in the event village and approximately half way on the course.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be water provided approximately every 5k in the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.
