Run through the streets of Birmingham in this fun filled running festival. There'll be something for runners of all abilities whether its your first 5k or fiftieth Half Marathon. You will get a completely unique medal and also have an awesome time speeding round the beautiful Sutton Park.

Step into autumn with purpose at the Birmingham Running Festival on Sunday 6th September 2026. Through scenic Sutton Park with options for a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or Junior distance.

Run along the historic roads once used by GB legends through one of the largest urban parks in Europe—just minutes from Birmingham City Centre.

PARKING/TRAVEL

There is race specific parking available around the Visitors Centre in addition to all of the Park’s usual car parks.

Event day logistics

09:00 am - Half Marathon

09:45 am - 10k

09:55 am - 5k

11:30 am - Junior Race

12:00 pm - Race End

Half Marathon - 17 years and above

10k - 15 years and above

5k - 11 years and above

BAGGAGE

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

TOILETS

Portaloos in the event village.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be water provided on each lap of the course and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

There will be no water station for the 5k race.

RESULTS

Results will be available here immediately after the race.
