BIRTHDAY RUN
Zig Zag Running is 6 years old this month so why not come along and celebrate with us. We promise there will be lots of cake.
LOCATION: Billingford Lakes and Country Park, NR20 4RG
With start times at 9AM (6-hour event) and 11AM (4-hour event), you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the stunning route, push your limits, and, of course, earn your race bling! Once you cross the finish line, reward yourself with a complimentary coffee and cake while soaking in the atmosphere.
An aid station will be conveniently located at base camp, so there's no need to carry excess food or water—just focus on your run and enjoy the journey!
Entry Perks & Course Details
- Parking is included in your race entry—no extra hassle.
- All finishers will receive a bespoke medal for the event. Opt for the Lucky Dip option (if available), and you can choose from a selection of previous medals.
- The course is a trail run, featuring a mix of tarmac paths, grasslands, and rugged trails—perfect for those who love a bit of variety!
Important Race Reminder:
THIS EVENT IS CUPLESS – Please bring your own cups or bottles for refilling at the aid station to help reduce waste and support eco-friendly running!

Waves
Participants have the choice to start their race at 9 am or 11 am. Please note that both waves will end at 3 pm, meaning those in the second wave will have a shorter time limit than those in the first wave.
Race Packs
Race bibs will be collected on the day from registration.
Age Restrictions
All entrants must be 18 and older to enter the event.
Water/Aid Station
There will be a water/aid station at Race HQ, which will be situated at the start and lap point of the route.
Bag Drop
There will be a space for runners to leave their bags and belongings, however they are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables. It is advised by the organiser to leave your belongings in your car, keeping valuables out of sight.
Lucky Dip Medal
The lucky dip medal (where available as an option) gives runners a chance of receiving a previous Zig Zag Events medal for a slightly reduced cost. This can be chosen when registering and ensures a little surprise on event day.
Cupless Event
Please note the event has gone cupless, so please bring your own water bottle to the event.
