About
The Bishops Stortford Running Festival is a brand-new community sports event taking place on Sunday, 24th May 2026, across Sworders Field, Castle Park and Grange Paddocks.
Featuring a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon race, the festival will attract 750 runners and over 1,500 attendees from Hertfordshire, Essex, and North London for a day of sport, music, and community celebration.

Get full directionsCycling and public transport are highly recommended to ease congestion on Bishops Stortford town centre. However, there are multiple car parks that are in close vicinity to the event village - including Northgate End Car Park, Link Road Car Park, Jackson Square Car Park and Grange Paddocks Car Park (fees apply).

TIMINGS
- Registration Opens - 7:30 AM
- Half Marathon Start - 9:00 AM (Minimum Age 17+)
- 10K Start - 9:40AM (Minimum Age 15+)
- 5K Start - 10:20AM (Minimum Age 11+)
- Cut Off - 2:00PM
BAGGAGE
We will have secure bag drop tents located in the event village where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number. You simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
Toilets facilities will be available inside The Terrace Cafe, as well as Portaloos in the event village.
REFRESHMENTS
The event village will contain a variety of food and drink vendors. A water station will be available out on the course and water will be provided at the end of the race.
