Get ready for an unforgettable day at one of the UK's most iconic sporting venues! The Cheltenham Running Festival is back for 2026, offering a unique chance to run a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon on the grounds of the world-famous Cheltenham Racecourse.

Whether you're chasing a new personal best or soaking in the electric race day atmosphere, this is the perfect setting for runners of all abilities. And with a Junior Race included, it's an exciting day out for the whole family.

PARKING/TRAVEL

There is free parking on site at the racecourse. Please arrive early, as with all major events please expect some delays on arrival.

Event day logistics

10:00 am - Half Marathon start

10:45 am - 10k start

10:55 am - 5k start

12:30 pm - Junior Race start

13:30 pm - Race End

CUT-OFF TIME

Please get in touch if you plan to take more than 3 hours to complete the half marathon, as we may need to make special arrangements.

MINIMUM AGES

Half Marathon - 17 years and above

10k - 15 years and above

5k - 11 years and above

Junior Race - Under 11

BAGGAGE

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

TOILETS

Toilets will be available within the racecourse stands. These are just off the course if you wish to use them during the race.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be water provided on every lap, every 5km. There will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. Please note the 5k won’t pass a water station on the course.

RESULTS

Results will be available here immediately after the race.
