The race offers a lovely route for all runners. It takes in the amazing Chirk Castle and some lovely country lanes with beautiful views.

Route information

Course Type : Loop

The event HQ & start/finish are a short walk from several car parks in the town centre.

Start and finish is located on Station Road with distance markers at every kilometre.

Begin by travelling around the scenic country lanes before entering the stunning grounds of Chirk Castle.

The race will take place on fully closed roads for the safety of the runners and the volunteers. The route has good open coverage around the castle so spectators are free to cheer on from all areas.

Get full directions

Start and finish is located on Station Road with distance markers at every kilometre.

Please arrive by about 8am on the day to leave plenty of time to navigate race traffic and prepare for race start.

Age Requirements

Participants need to be aged 15 and over to take part in the Chirk 10K.

Cut-off Time

The cut off time for this event is 1 hour and 30 minutes, meaning you must cross the finish line by 10:30.

Safety is key at Adrenaline Sporting Events. You may be asked to withdrawal from the race for your own safety if you fall behind the 1 hour 30 minute pace.

Water stations

Drink Stations will be available at around the 5k mark.

Bag Drop

There is no baggage drop off available at this event. It is encouraged that you to leave your belongings in your car or with friends.

Toilets

Toilets will be near the start/finish area

Athletes with a disability: To ensure that disabled athletes to have a safe and enjoyable race, it is recommended to contact the event organiser for advice.

Earphones: Bone conduction headphones are permitted. In-ear headphones are not permitted
