Route information

Delamere Forest South-West of Manchester, is a shady oasis in the midst of the agricultural landscape of the Cheshire Plain, and an ideal setting for a trails race accessible for all.

Sections of the race will take you deep into the forest, around the Blakemere Moss, along the Sandstone Trail, and up Old Pale Hill for panoramic views of the Cheshire countryside. With stunning scenery and a team of enthusiastic marshals, the Delamere trail races are perfect for both seasoned athletes and first timers!

Parking

Official parking will be at the visitor centre: CW8 2HZ

Event village, start and finish is just outside the Visitor Centre.
Discounted parking for participants, just £3 for the day.

By Train

Delamere train station is a short walk from the event village

Age Requirements

Marathon: All runners must be aged 18 or older
Half marathon: All runners must be aged 17 or older

Race Packs

Race Packs must be collected on the day of the event, before the start of your race, from registration. Please be aware that you will not receive anything in the post.

Aid Stations

There will be aid stations along the route. Note that these are cupless and will not be serving bottled water so please bring your own receptacle.

Bag Drop

There will be a secure area in the event village where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage staff and they will help you find your baggage.
