Route information
This popular running event features a 10k and a half marathon, with routes that take you through the vibrant city of Leicester. Starting and finishing at Victoria Park, next to the University of Leicester campus, you'll be spurred on by crowds of spectators and a fantastic event atmosphere.
The half marathon has a 13.1-mile, road-closed route, which heads out from Victoria Park along Leicester's Golden Mile, before looping back via Watermead Park and Abbey Park. Runners will then take in some of the city's iconic landmarks before a final stretch up the New Walk to the finish line back at Victoria Park.
The 10k follows the half marathon route up the Golden Mile until reaching Loughborough Road. You'll then pass the National Space Centre and Abbey Park before continuing on towards the heart of the city centre. After one last hill up New Walk, you'll reach the finish line at Victoria Park.

There is event parking available at selected University car parks, payable either to the car park machines or with a donation to LOROS Hospice. In addition, following the success of our trial in 2025 we are delighted to again be running a free of charge park and ride from King Power Stadium in 2026. Parking details will be provided in your race pack. Numerous NCP car parks are also available nearby. We recommend car sharing as much as possible or using public transport wherever possible to reduce the number of cars coming into the city. Car parks will be well sign-posted. There is also a fair amount of roadside parking available around the perimeter of Victoria Park.

Race Packs
Most race packs will be posted to participants ahead of time. If you signed up for the event on Late Entry, you will collect your race pack from registration on the day, or the day before between 10:00 and 14:00. Race packs will include your bib number and any final details for the event.
Registration
There is a race registration desk open on the morning of the event at Victoria Park for late entries to collect their race pack.
Age Requirements
Participants must be aged at least 17 years old to participate in the half marathon and 15 years old to participate in the 10k.
Bag Drop
There will be a place for participants to drop their bags in the race arena. Please note that all items are left at their own risk.
Water Stations
There will be water stations with cups at approximately every 3 miles. They're in a self-serve style.
Toilets & Changing Facilities
There will be toilets at the start/finish area and some along the route. Changing facilities will be in the race arena.
