Be part of something new and exciting at Higginson Park in Marlow on Sunday 24th May 2026 for the debut of the Marlow Triathlon. This brand-new event offers Half Iron, Olympic, and Sprint distances ideal for both seasoned athletes and newcomers.
Swim in the River Thames, cycle through the scenic Chiltern countryside, and finish strong with a riverside run across the park. With stunning views and a well-organised setup, it’s a must-do event to kick off your summer season.
Whether you're taking on your first triathlon or chasing a personal best, this event offers Sprint, Olympic, and Half Iron distances. Each race begins with an open-water swim in the River Thames, followed by scenic bike routes through the rolling Chiltern countryside, and finishes with a run on grassy terrain in the heart of Marlow.
This is your chance to race in one of the most beautiful triathlon locations in the UK. With a riverside start, closed roads, and a buzzing event village, the Marlow Triathlon delivers a memorable challenge for every level of athlete.
Half Iron Triathlon
Swim: 1.9km | Bike: 86km (Elevation: 806m) | Run: 20km (Elevation: 68m)
Olympic Triathlon
Swim: 1.5km | Bike: 38km (Elevation: 333m) | Run: 10km (Elevation: 34m)
Sprint Triathlon

There are a number of car parks in Marlow town centre. We recommend using parkopedia.com to find a space. We recommend arriving early and planning your journey in advance.
Event day logistics

CUT -OFF TIME
There is a 9 hour cut-off on the Half Iron triathlon:
Swim - 1 hour 15 minutes
Cycle - 4 hours 30 minutes
Run - 3 hours 15 minutes
MINIMUM AGES
Half Iron Triathlon - 18 years and above
Olympic Triathlon - 17 years and above
Sprint Triathlon - 15 years and above
BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
There will be toilets in the event village, which will also be accessible on the run course. There will be toilets on the bike course for the Olympic and Half Iron distances.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be aid stations provided on every lap of the run course, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal. There will be no aid stations on the bike courses.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.
