About
Push yourself to new limits as you take part in a special 200 mile ultra. This hilly route is not for the faint-hearted with 30,187ft of climbing over 200 miles to be completes in 120 hours. It will be tough, but the picturesque Welsh trails will reward you throughout.

Route information
This circular ultra in Mid-Wales spans 200 miles and is sure to get your heart racing, featuring a total elevation gain of 31,000 feet. You'll traverse the stunning landscapes of Glyndwr's Way, renowned for its breathtaking views and rich history, as it meanders through rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and picturesque valleys. Alongside this, you'll follow the historic Offa's Dyke, which marks the border between Wales and England, offering rugged terrain and spectacular vistas that showcase the region's natural beauty.
The race is well-supported, with checkpoints every 25 miles where you can rest, recharge, and refuel before hitting the trails again. Aid stations will provide food and drinks, along with sleep stations and a skilled medical team. Runners will also benefit from live tracking, and upon completion, you'll receive a unique finisher buckle and other Wild Horse swag to commemorate your achievement.

Start Time
The race will start at 06:00. Racers are encouraged to allow plenty of time to prepare before the start.
Checkpoints
Checkpoints can be found every c.25 miles. Runners can also access their drop bags at each checkpoint. The checkpoints will be well-supported aid stations, with both warm/cold food and drinks, sleep stations, and medical support.
Cut-Off Time
All runners must pass the 100 mile marker before the 55 hour mark.
The final cut-off time is 120 hours. Note the longest time someone has taken to complete this course in the past is 99 hours.
Crew
Runners are encouraged to bring their own crew, but it is possible to run this un-crewed.
Drop Bags
Drop bags are extremely important for this event and our personalised system will allow all runners to access their drop bag at each and every checkpoint. Meaning runners must pick and choose wisely as to what they will need for each section of the course. Don’t worry, there are shops along the route (which you are allowed to use) .
Drop bag limits / dimensions – 45 cm x 75.5 cm x 45cm; Volume: 132 litres. Plenty of space. Any bags larger than these dimensions will not be transported. Plastic boxes or suitcases will not be allowed. Each runner is entitled to one drop bag for the duration of the event, which will go to every checkpoint.
