Route information
Get in the Halloween spirit with this spooky event set in Lancaster. Perfect for all ages and abilities, you can expect countryside views in the 10k race and catch a glimpse of the impressive Lancaster Castle if you're participating in the fun run.
10k
The 10k route follows a gloriously fast and flat route through the countryside of Lunesdale. This will be an out-and-back route starting and ending behind the George and Dragon.. The new and improved route removes the uphill section at the finish, allowing you to attack the final stretch of the race.
Halloween Fun Run
Make sure to dress up for this spooktacular Halloween Fun Run. There will be plenty of goodies on offer for all finishers. The route will follow a loop in and around Lancaster Castle, making this perfect for all abilities of runners.

There is 3-hour parking available at the quay outside the George and Dragon. There is also additional unrestricted parking on New Quay Road by the new building.

Age Requirements
- 10k: All entrants must be 15 years or older on race day.
- Fun Run: Open to all ages, children aged 6 and under must run with an adult
Race Packs
All entrants must collect their race packs from the registration desk on the day of the event. Nothing will be posted out in advance.
Fun Run
Adults are welcome to run with their children for free (no event medal). If they are not running with a child they must pay for an entry.
Club Runner Entry
Members of Lancaster Runner's Club will receive a discounted rate. If you pay the lower rate and are not a member of the club you will have to pay the additional balance at the registration on the day of the event.
Toilets
The toilets are available at the Castle and at the Royal King's Arms hotel.
Drink Stations
Drink stations are located approximately every 3 miles along the course.
Fancy Dress
You are welcome to wear fancy dress. Please be mindful about what you wear as roads and cycleways are not closed to the public.
Headphones
It is not recommended to use headphones when you run as you will need to be aware of what is around you and you must be able to take instructions from the marshals.

All ages can enter, any children aged 6 years or under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

There is very limited Pay and Display parking around the Castle. There are several car parks within a 10 minute walk of the venue. There is very little on-street car parking close to the venue too.

Yes, there is a baggage store available at the venue for all entrants to use.
