Join us for an exciting new addition to the North East running calendar the RunThrough Town Moor & Exhibition Park 5k & 10k, taking place right in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.

This fast and flat course weaves through the historic grounds of Exhibition Park and the iconic open expanse of Town Moor, offering runners a unique opportunity to race in one of the largest city-centre green spaces in the UK. With Newcastle’s skyline as your backdrop and the famous St James’ Park stadium in view, this event is perfect for PB chasers, first-timers, and club runners alike.

Whether you're tackling the 5k or going for the full 10k, expect a friendly and supportive atmosphere, chip-timed results, closed routes within the parkland, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

There is no dedicated event parking at Exhibition Park. We strongly recommend using public transport or arriving by foot where possible.

Nearest Metro Station: Haymarket (10-minute walk)

Bus Stops: Great North Road / Claremont Road

Parking Options Nearby:

Claremont Road Car Park (NE2 4AA) - Pay & display, limited spaces

Newcastle University car parks - Short walk to the park

Park & Ride: Northumberland Park or Regent Centre with Metro to Haymarket

🚗 If driving, please allow extra time and consider pre-booking nearby parking via JustPark or Parkopedia.

🚶 The event village is only accessible on foot - no vehicle access through the park.

BAGGAGE

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

TOILETS

Portable toilets will be available in the event village.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

RESULTS

Results will be available here immediately after the race.
