Route information

Starting and finishing in Haslemere, this guided run features some of the best parts of the Serpent Trail and the Sussex Border Path.

You will be guided by Matt Buck, an experienced ultra runner, running coach and Salomon athlete. This run is perfect as your first taste of ultra running, the route is taken care of and you will get the chance to learn from an experienced ultra runner, and get any running questions you may have answered.

We will begin our run in Haslemere and head towards Blackdown, pausing for a moment to enjoy the wonderful Temple of the Winds lookout, offering views of the South Downs and beyond. From here we will begin to follow the Serpent Trail before heading south across lush fields and through ancient woodland. We will then pick up the Serpent Trail once again and head west across rare heathland, through stunning woodland and valleys. After a quick refreshment break, we will continue our journey back towards Haslemere, once again across incredible heathland and along a huge variety of trails.

Age Requirements

You must be aged at least 16 to participate in the event.

Cut-off time

Participants should be able to comfortably run an average pace of 10 min/miles | 6 min/km for prolonged periods of time on the trail.

Covid-19

If the race is cancelled due to Covid-19, participants will be offered the choice of a refund or a transfer to a later event.

Guide

You will be led by an experienced trail runner. Please feel free to ask him plenty of questions about the course and general running tips.

Of course. The organiser has stated that if the event is cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions you will be able to choose whether to delay your ticket or get a refund.
