Route information
oin this stunning guided trail run, starting and finishing at Silent Pool, a place admired by poet, Alfred Tennyson, considered a sacred site, haunted by the ghost of a young girl forced into the water by King John in the 1100's and most famously, home to the Silent Pool Gin Distillery. More importantly, it's home to some amazing trails.
We will enjoy some great trails including some of the North Downs Way and the beautiful forest of Netley Heath before dropping down to the famous village of Shere, where we will pass film locations from 'The Holiday' and 'Bridget Jones Diary'. The route will include some nice wide trails (great for chatting) and some fun single track trails (which are a lot of fun) along the way.
This run is perfect for people new to trail running, runners who simply like to run with like minded people, or those that haven't felt comfortable running trails alone at dusk or night.
You will be guided by Matt Buck, an experienced ultra runner, running coach and Salomon ambassador. You don't need to worry about where you are going or the route we will take, I will take care of everything so all you need to do is concentrate on running and having fun.

Entrants must be 16 years of age or older in order to participate
Pace
This event is not a race. All participants must be able to maintain a pace of 10min/miles (6 mins/km) along trails for a continuous period of time.
Torches
All will be provided with Silva head torches after sunset.
Trail shoes
If you would like to try out some trail shoes, please state your shoes size when booking.

What kit do I need to bring to the Silent Pool 10k?
It is recommended to wear trail shoes, if you do not have a pair, the organiser will have some Salomon trail shoes available to test, make sure to state your size during registration. You will be provided with a head torch.
