Route information

Mark St David's Day with this 5k, 10k and half marathon event based at Bute Park in Cardiff. This is a great event for the whole family, with an added 1.5k race open to kids! Feel free to dress on-theme, with leeks, daffodils and dragons very much encouraged.

The 5k, 10k and half marathon courses will be run on flat tarmac surfaces. The 5k will be 1 lap of the course, the 10k 2 laps and the half marathon just over 4 laps. Split times will be issued to runners for each lap.

This event is in aid of Cancer Research Wales and Kidney Wales. A donation from every entry fee will be given to the two charities, and runners are encouraged to run in support of their work making a difference to people across Wales.

By Car

From the M4, exit junction 32 and follow the A470 to Cardiff city centre.

Parking

There is no parking within Bute Park so please make sure you plan your journey accordingly. Please use the city centre car parks or on-street meter parking.

By Train

Cardiff Central Station is located a 10-minute walk from the event HQ.

Race Packs & Information

Race information will be sent out by email prior to the event and will provide details of your race number so you know where to queue on event day.

Race packs can be collected at registration on the day of the event. Please ensure your race number is clearly displayed on your outer garment.

Age Restrictions

Children of all ages can take part in the event but must remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian throughout the event. If the parent/guardian is satisfied the child/children can confidently run 5k or 10k unaccompanied they may do so, with a parent/guardian remaining onsite at all times.

Bag Storage

Bag storage will be located next to the registration tents. However, space is limited so please travel as lightly as possible.

Toilets

Toilets will be available at Coopers Field in Bute Park.
