Route information
This is a great course for those looking for an enjoyable and fast marathon. Perfect for all abilities, there will be plenty of support and encouragement along the way.
This route will be out and back from Morecambe through Lancaster, along the River Lune, and then back to the start. Most of the route will be along a traffic-free course using footpaths and cycleways allowing all runners to get into their stride.

Get full directionsBy Train
The closest train station to the start is Lancaster, a walk/jog along the riverside path towards Morecambe following the race arrows will get you to the venue.
By Car
On the M6 take Junction 34 towards Kirkby Lonsdale/Heysham/Morecombe. From there follow the A683. Then head along Morecambe road turning left at the roundabout. Continue past Asda the follow signs to the car park at Salt Ayre.

Age Requirements
All entrants must be 17 years of age or older to enter the Lancaster Half Marathon.
Club Runner Entry
Members of Lancaster Runner's Club will receive a discounted rate. If you pay the lower rate and are not a member of the club you will have to pay the additional balance at the registration on the day of the event.
Headphones
It is not recommended to use headphones when you run as you will need to be aware of what is around you and you must be able to take instructions from the marshals.

Is there a baggage store available at The Lancaster Half Marathon?
There will be a space to store your bag during the race but please try and leave valuables with your cars or leave them with someone.
