Race in the stunning Lake District as you take on this unique extreme triathlon. Swim in Lake Windermere and reach the top of England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, before returning back to Windermere to the finish.
Swim - 1,500 meters
The swim starts on the grass running into the lake for a teardrop course heading north along the shoreline to the next bay infront of Lakeside HQ before rounding 3 buoys to swim back again parallel to the shore, rounding the last buoy before heading in to the shore and running up the slip ramp onto the grass. 200 meters run through to transition.
Bike - 45.5 Kilometers – Out
A superb exhilarating course with plenty of long fast sections and some exciting technical sections thrown in too.
Mountain - 8.75 Kilometers each way
Arguably the most inspiring trail routes up this most famous mountain. It’s a challenging route with a full mix of terrains; some steep, some fast and exhilarating and a few technical sections. A captivating mountain run that will keep your focus and drive stoked right up to the summit before the fast & furious run back down. N.B. You will need to pass the Esk Hause Check Point 6km up Scafell Pike before 12:30pm to be able to progress to the summit.
Bike - 45.5 Kilometers – Back
Some great long stretches of open picturesque roads with plenty hills and technical sections thrown in too. It’s a memorable route back to the finish.
