Route information
A 40 mile, point-to-point course following the The Vale Coast Path past beaches and up cliffs, starting in Porthcawl and ending in Penarth. The VOGUM promises beautiful coastal scenery of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. The terrain is mixed, including path, trail, grass and sand, so appropriate footwear is required.

The event provides an optional coach transfer from Penarth (the finish line) to Porthcawl (the start line) on the morning of the event. You can leave your car at the finish and catch a coach to the start. The coach leaves Penarth at 05:00 hours, please select this option during signup if required.

Time Limits and Checkpoints
There are no time limits or cut off times, the event staff will support you to the finish line however long it takes you - just don't pitch up a tent ;-).
There are 4 checkpoints along the route. Perfect to stock up on fuel mid-race with snacks, drinks, power banks, encouragement and music. Let the event staff know your dietary requirements during signup.
