Join us for an unforgettable experience at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon, where you'll race through history on a fast, flat course that winds through the heart of Cambridge. Starting and finishing on Victoria Avenue, with the vibrant event village set on Midsummer Common, this scenic route is renowned for taking runners past some of the city's most iconic landmarks. You'll pass through the private grounds of four University of Cambridge Colleges, marvel at the stunning architecture of the City Centre, and enjoy the rolling countryside on the outskirts of town. As you prepare to race, soak up the lively atmosphere at Midsummer Common, then experience incredible support from the crowd and volunteers, as well as energizing live music along the course. Whether you're tackling your first 13.1 miles or pushing for a new personal best, this race offers the perfect blend of history, excitement, and community spirit to make it an event to remember.

🚫 There is no car parking at Midsummer Common.

🚲 A free, secure bike park will be available on-site for up to 1,000 bikes.
Park and Ride - Special Race Day Service
Travelling from further afield? Use our Event Park & Ride, with drop-off and pick-up points just a short walk from Midsummer Common.
  • This special early service runs from multiple sites around the city
  • Advance booking is required for the best price and to guarantee your seat
  • Tickets are per person (age 5+), not per car
  • No concessions are available for this service
Disabled parking
Unfortunately, due to the event layout, we’re unable to provide disabled parking on site.
Please check local listings for alternative options – but note that road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place.

Event day logistics

Race Packs
When registering, you’ll choose to have your pack posted (postage fee applies for standard entries) or collect it in advance. Charity entries will automatically be posted.
🚫 No pack collection on race day.
If collecting, make sure you can visit Midsummer Common on:
  • Friday 6 March, 1–6pm or
  • Saturday 7 March, 10am–4pm
Can’t make it? Choose postage instead.
📦 Note for non-mainland UK runners (e.g. Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland): we can’t post packs outside mainland UK. Please provide a mainland address or collect in person.
Event Village Facilities
  • Bag storage for day-size bags (tag included in your pack)
  • Clothing donation bins near the start for pre-race layers
  • Catering on-site with drinks, snacks & food
  • Toilets throughout the village and on the course
Hydration & Nutrition
  • 4 drink stations with water & HIGH5 gels
  • Water refill points at Midsummer Common & drink stations – bring your own bottle or hydration pack
Race Start & Timing
The race starts at 9:30am with waves based on estimated finish times.
  • First wave: 9:30am
  • Final wave: 10:00 - 10:30am
Your chip time starts when you cross the line.
📧 You’ll get your race number and wave info 7–14 days before the race. VIP entrants can choose their wave – we’ll provide guidance on the best one for your pace.
🕘 We recommend arriving at the Event Village at least 1 hour before your wave (giving you time to store bags, use toilets etc) and make your way to the start area at least 20 minutes before your wave.
🚫 If you miss the final wave loading, you won’t be allowed to start.
Pacers
We are delighted to have a fantastic team of pacers supporting the event each year. We usually have pacers at 1hr 30mins, 1hr 45mins, 2hrs, 2hrs 15mins, 2hr 30 mins and 2hr 45 mins. Look out for the pacer T-Shirts and Flags!
Para-athletes
We welcome all participants! If you have specific needs, please get in touch before entering so we can advise on suitability.
👩‍🦽‍➡️ We are unable to a wheelchair wave however standard chairs are welcome in the main field. Standard chairs are welcome in the main field, but we recommend checking the route and site before you enter.
Cut Off
We want to support everyone to have a great race, but we are limited on how long we can close the roads in Cambridge and keep our volunteer marshals in place. You will have 3.5 hours to complete your event.
⏱ Cut-off points on the course will be shared in final race info. As a guide:
  • Reach 9.5 miles by 13:00
  • Reach 11.5 miles by 13:30
Otherwise, you’ll be asked to board the Event Minibus back to Midsummer Common.

Can I raise money for charity at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon?
In 2025, our athletes raised more than £1.6 million for charity. We have a range of official charity partners you contact them through the links on the Charity page of our website "cambridgehalfmarathon.com". They will be very happy to hear from you! You can also enter yourself via a general entry and raise money for a charity of your choosing. You can create an official TTP Cambridge Half Marathon fundraising page with our partner GivenGain, the not-for-profit fundraising platform.

Can I race as a wheelchair athlete at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon?
Our event does not currently have a wheelchair wave. Standard chairs are welcome in the main field. However, we highly recommend viewing the site and route first to assess suitability.

How will I get my race pack for the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon?
When you complete your entry, you can choose to collect your pack from Midsummer Common BEFORE the event or to have it posted in advance (fees for postage apply). You can check the option you have chosen on your payment Receipt or in your Lets Do This account (Charity, VIP and Business Challenge entries will be posted). Please note – there is NO race pack collection on the day of the race.

Will there be pacers at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon?
Yes. We normally have pacers running at 1hr 30mins, 1hr 45mins, 2hrs, 2hrs 15mins, 2hr 30 mins and 2hr 45 mins. Most will have flags but all will be wearing pacer t-shirts so you can spot them.

Is there a cut-off for the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon?
We want to support everyone to have a great race, but we have limits on how long we can close the roads in Cambridge and keep our volunteer marshalls in place so we will stop you if you are going to take longer than 3.5 hours. There will be on course cut-off points that you must reach in time to be allowed to continue the event - you will need to reach 9.5 miles by 13:00 and 11.5 miles by 13:30 otherwise you will be asked to get into the Event Minibus to return to Midsummer Common (please note - these are provisional pending final race operations sign off however we are confident that they are indicative of the required pace).

Do you need any volunteers at the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon?
Always! We can’t run our events without the help of our amazing team of volunteers. It’s a great way to be part of the event and the atmosphere if you don’t want to take part in the race itself. All our volunteers get a great thank you package. We have a system called Rosterfy which we use for volunteers. It will allow you to select your own job and will give you access to information. Please follow the link on the volunteer page to sign up.We are also always on the lookout for large groups to run feed stations and other areas that require a large number of volunteers, so if you are part of a running group, school, charity, knitting circle, sewing bee or just have a massive group of friends that would love to spend the day helping out, please get in touch with volunteers.events@teamnwass.com and make our day!
