Welcome to the 6th Vogrie (Tyne Valley) Half Marathon, 10km, 5km, and 1.6km family fun trail running event.
Scurry Events is hosting this event at Vogrie Country Park.
The trail runs are clearly marked and marshaled mixed terrain routes for everyone to enjoy.
NEW JUMP SHIP BREWING HALF MARATHON route for 2026! Take on the DRY JANUARY challenge with Jump Ship brewing with this mixed terrain half marathon route which passes through and around Pathhead where the Jump Ship HQ is based. The Half follows the first 5km within the park and is a 2 loop course.

The 5km is 1 lap and the 10km 2 mixed terrain laps around the countryside estate paths, woodlands, and the Tyne Valley. The race start and finish will be set in front of the Victorian baronial manor house.
All races will start and finish in front of the Victorian baronial manor house in Vogrie Country Park, just outside of Edinburgh. Race participants will be treated to a well-marked and marshalled mixed terrain route. Depending on the chosen distance, runners will go through laps around the countryside estate paths, woodlands and the Tyne Valley.

Get full directionsBy Public Transport
There is no public transport that will take you directly to the park. Lothian buses will take you as far as Gorebridge, which is a two mile walk from the park along the B6372.
The Borders railway line also stops in Gorebridge.
Car
Coming from the A68, take the B6372 and drive through Dewarton - the park is signposted from the main road.
From the A7, take the B6372 at Gorebridge, with the park lying approximately two miles along this road on the right.
Please note that from 1st April 2019, the car park barrier will be in permanent operation. The exit fee for each car is £2 - you will need this in coins.

Bag Drop
There will be a small bag tent by the finish line, however, the organisers accept no responsibility for loss of clothing or equipment.
Age Requirements
For the Fun Run, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Health & Safety
Runners should come adequately prepared for uneven, tarmac, grass and mud surfaces.
Wearing earphones is strictly prohibited.
No dogs - this course is not suitable for canicross runners.
Toilets
There will be public male and female toilets in the main car park and down by the children's play area along Vogrie house.

Am I allowed to participate with my dog at the Vogrie Country Park Trail runs?
Unfortunately, this course is not suitable for Canicross runners, no dogs please.

There will be prizes awarded for the first 3 male and female, first over 40 male and female, and first junior male and female (5k only) runners.
