Starting and finishing at Cheshire County Sports Club just outside Chester city centre, these road-closed 10k, 10 mile and Junior races are ones not to miss!
This popular ROAD CLOSED 10k, 10 mile and Junior event is the perfect opportunity to set a new PB or simply a fun morning out in the beautiful Cheshire countryside with a unique medal waiting for you at the finish!

How to get there

Get full directionsPARKING/TRAVEL
There is parking available at Cheshire Horse Sanctuary and the University of Chester Creative Campus.
We strongly advise arriving before 8.20am at both sites to allow ample time to walk to the start. Please note that you will not be able to exit the Cheshire Horse Sanctuary car park until the roads reopen at 11am.
Please be advised that Mannings Lane will be closed at the junction with the A41 from 7am - to access the Cheshire Horse Sanctuary car park, please use Picton Gorse Lane or Oak Bank Lane.
If possible, please car share.
Please refrain from parking in residential areas nearby.

CUT-OFF TIME
There is a 2hr15min cut off time due to this being a road closed event

BAGGAGE
We will have a marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
There will be portaloos available in the event village.
REFRESHMENTS
There are water stations located at 3 miles, 5.5 miles and 8 miles on the 10 mile course, and at 3k & 7k on the 10k route. There will also be a bottle of water waiting for you at the finish line. We recommend bringing your own water to stay hydrated in the lead up to the event.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.

Yes, your run will be chip timed and accurately measured.

All race times will be published on the RunThrough results page after the half marathon has finished.
Am I allowed to wear headphones at the Cheshire 10k & 10 Mile - July?
It is strongly advised against wearing headphones while running as the nature of the event means that you need to be aware of your surroundings and be able to hear marshals instructions.
Will photographs be taken at the Cheshire 10k & 10 Mile - July?
Yes. A photographer will be taking photos during the event. Such pictures will be posted to Run Through's website after the race.
