The Women’s Run Series returns to Manchester on Sunday 17th May 2026!
At Women's Run Series, our mission is to create a truly safe and inclusive space for women’s running, empowering individuals to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. We are dedicated to increasing female and ethnic minority participation in running events, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, feels welcome and supported.
Together, we strive to build a vibrant community where every woman has the opportunity to thrive and inspire others to do the same.
Our entirely female events team is here to open those doors and help you break down those barriers that may have prevented you from joining an event like this before!
All abilities are welcome.

PARKING/TRAVEL
Use the following postcodes in your sat nav for entrances and walking times at a steady walking pace:
M25 2GT: St Margaret’s Road entrance (12 mins)
M25 2SW: Smithy Lodge entrance (12 mins)
M25 0DL: Sheepfoot Lane entrance (12 mins)
M25 1SS: Metrolink Entrance (14 Mins)
M25 1JH: Grand Lodge (20 mins)
If driving to the event there is plenty of pay & display parking a few minutes walk from the race start. For car park access use either
 Sheepfoot Lane, Smithy Lodge or St Margaret Road entrances.

Disabled parking is available in all our car parks. You can park in any bay, it doesn't have to be a specific disabled bay, but your Blue Badge must be visible. Pay and display fees do not apply to disabled badge holders.
Public Transport:
Heaton Park is served by the x35, 59, 90, 135, 149, 156, 164 and 484 buses. Visit the TFGM website for more information and use the Route Explorer to plan your bus journey. 
Heaton Park is accessible via the MetroLink tram from Manchester Piccadilly to Heaton Park Station. The Heaton Park tram stop is on the Bury Line of the Metrolink light rail system. It's located at the corner of Whittaker Lane and Bury Old Road and the stop has an entrance to Heaton Park.

BAGGAGE
We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach it to your bag. To collect, all you have to do is show your number to the baggage drop staff and they will help you find your baggage. There will also be changing facilities available within the event village.
TOILETS
There will be portable toilets within the event village as well as access to the park toilets alongside the cafe a short walk from the event village.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.

We will have an official photographer at the event, please check out our photos page after the race.
