4:30 AM First shuttles depart from key transit stops to the race site.
5:00 AM Gear check and will call open - drop bags and pick up race materials if needed.
5:30 AM Start corrals open - runners begin lining up in their assigned corrals along East Hayes Drive.
6:00 AM Lake Shore Drive closes to traffic between 31st and 67th Streets to secure the course.
6:45 AM Half Marathon start corrals close - runners must be in position by this time to start.
6:50 AM Opening ceremony with law-enforcement honor guard and other pre-race remarks.
7:00 AM Official Chicago Half Marathon start - corrals A through the final wave begin crossing the line.
7:45 AM 5K race begins.
8:00 AM Finish Festival opens at Jackson Park - music, food, and family activities begin.
9:00 AM Awards ceremony on the Finish Festival stage honoring overall winners.
10:00 AM Kids Run Chicago starts - a fun run for younger participants.
11:30 AM Course and finish line officially close for the Half Marathon.
