Run fast or freeze! Start the new year at the coolest road race around with a chill-y 5K or 10K, followed by a warm, delicious post-run lunch. This annual favourite brings the running community together to reconnect, celebrate, and kick off January with fresh air and friendly faces. This year’s charity partner is OrKidstra, an Ottawa-based program empowering kids from equity-deserving communities through the universal language of music and the life skills it inspires.

OrKidstra is an Ottawa-based social development program that empowers kids, ages 5-18, from equity-deserving communities by teaching life skills – such as teamwork, commitment, respect and pride in achievement – through the universal language of music. With the passionate belief in the transformative power of music, OrKidstra started with 27 children in 2007 and now includes 800 children and youth, 400 in-school* and 400 after-school, from over 62 linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
